New Tracks Weekend

New Tracks Weekend, March 9-11

It’s not that we’re overbooked with new music (we usually are), it’s that we’re overbooked with headliners. Air Formation has returned with their first new album in eight years, and that deserves the headline. How could it not? With the exceptional history they have, surely they’ve earned headliner status. The new LP from KLASS II sees full release today on Luxury Records, and it’s got all the elements that make it a classic album. We’ve pushed the first single at your ears recently, now it’s time for a deep dive in this sonic bliss. But our pictured headliners are Delaware’s fiancé, whose feverdream EP is due imminently via their Bandcamp. You’ve seen a few indie blogs across the globe buzz about the first two teaser singles, and rightly so. While they’ve been on our radar for two years now, the new production and shine applied to these new tunes is glorious. If Turnover’s latest album left you feeling empty, this is what you were hoping for: epic sweep, indie haze, wrapped around credible tunes. Where others have flagged, fiancé has stepped in to fill the gap, and the results are compelling, tuneful, memorable. Plus surprise new singles from Belle Mare, and The New Tigers, music from Nax, and the full release of the new EP from Soft Wounds, we’ve got your weekend well covered!
And that’s in addition to last week’s new treasures, including Topographies, Bloody Knives, Since Always, Kraus, Fawns of Love, Dayflower, All Sparks Burn Out, Nostalgist, Morning Myth, Dead Heart Bloom, The Churchill Garden, Living Hour, Middle Management, Sales, Ms. 45, Soccer Mommy, Mint Julep, Seaside, The Pink Elephants, Ten Million Lights, Rolemodel, Todavia, Winter, Wussy, Wild Meadows, Moaning, and Candace. It’s a 52-hour sonic party!
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
