New Tracks Weekend, June 1-3

We’re loaded with new music. From this morning’s announcement of the first new music in sixteen years from The Emerald Down (assisted ably by members of Orange Crate Art, The Telescopes, and 93MillionMilesFromTheSun), to the sneak preview from Singapore’s Sobs (pictured above), whose debut album “Telltale Signs” drops later this month, to the new album from Stella Diana… the new just keeps on coming. New singles from Wynona Bleach, Galants, Lilith, Tape Waves, Why Bonnie, Heathers, New Age Healers, Ben Rath, Corasandel, Shaki Tavi, Crimen, MrENC, and Parks, Squares and Alleys. But those are just the singles, We’re deep into the recent releases from Tom Boyle (how did we miss this one?), Fyrrh, акульи слёзы, Chatham Rise, Damascus, Dorias Baracca and so much more.
But we’re still pushing new music from Thud, Hatchie, Suburban Living, A Shoreline Dream, etti-etta, Barrie, Consejo, Brief Habits, Imperfect Tree, Jaguar Sun, Deaf, Movie Brain, Ms.45, Neonic Sundrive, Vicious Blossom, The Lost Jackets, Swirlpool, and Last Canyon.
Plus, it’s the first weekend to have new tracks running through two channels! If you have the app, you may have noticed “DKFM EDGE” as a new streaming addition. This is pretty much New Tracks Weekend on steroids, but available all day, all night, all week. Why “EDGE”? It represents only the freshest material, so you’re always on the leading edge of the sound and the scene. While it was built specifically for users of the DKFM app, it can still be reached outside the app, with a stream configured for multiple listening preferences. And it stays up to date with all the New Tracks Weekend material, in some cases even before launching New Tracks Weekend on DKFM proper. So that’s a win.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
