Bandcamp Friday, and it’s an embarrassment of riches. More new tracks added this weekend than about any weekend we can remember in the past year. Headliners come from some long awaited releases: Young Prisms, Astragal, Whimsical and Moodlighting (pictured above). While there’s much to adore from all three, we’d call your attention to Moodlighting new album Boy wonder, especially our pick to click, “Drowning in it“. Deceptively compelling, by turns abrasive and sweet, taking a turn from candy confection to controlled chaos, it’s the kind of tune we live to shout about. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’re spinning up the newest sounds from Say Sue Me and An Ocean of Embers, both pre-release sounds, plus Bathe Alone, CIEL, Mint Julep, FOG, Cigarette In Your Bed, Inoxidables, Faience Knife, crystal meadows, Jōetsu Shore , GRAE, Forever Honey, Lesser Care, Justine Never Knew The Rules, Lunar Isles, Mope Burn, oddnesse, No Suits in Miami, XO, Quali, Slow Glows, The Asteroid No.4, Still, White Flowers, The Haunted Youth, Principe Valiente, Stellar Ruins, Witherbride and more. That’s just this week’s haul that we can remember. Don’t judge, it’s a lot, you try it.
