Bright new sounds, fresh possibilities. In these days of quarantine, it’s what we need. We’ve got a world premiere of a solid new single from Portland’s Animal Ghosts, and it’s a solid, compelling slab of sonic swirl that we’re honored to roll out to your ears. We’ve also got advance from station favorites T. G. Shand, due out next week. We’ve been waiting for follow-up on the first solid single, “Girls”, and this taster will whet your appetite for more. We’ll also take a deeper dive into the debut LP from Denton TX artists Crisman, out now on Topshelf Records. Subtle, fizzy, sublime, with a keen ear for songcraft, we’re continuing to find new gems here. We’ve got more fresh sounds from CIEL, A Beautiful Machine, NAX, 3D WOW, Les Manteez, Crystal Canyon, ZILCHED, Fearing, Lights That Change, Huan Huan 緩緩, Tender Tones, Keep, Me Not You, Wendolyne, Majja Star & The Invisible Man, Why Bonnie and so much more!

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Shimmerance, Slow Crush, Juniper Bush, Day & Dream, Annie Hamilton, Japanese Heart Software, Dynamo Stairs, Lava Lite, Dinosaur Girl, Wellworn Banana, Even As We Speak, Dry Spells, ellebasi noxim, LLOLLYANNA, Sexores, Shimmer, Lebend, Wild Signals, Spotlights, The Pleasure Holes, Sleep Overload, Sugar World, 你男友係碌葛 yourboyfriendsucks!, and some recent classics from Cherry Coals. We’re packed with expansive, comforting soundscapes for your social isolation.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
