New Tracks Weekend, April 13-15

What better day than Friday the 13th for all the new music to be released? Whether it be Say Sue Me (pictured), with their brilliant and engaging new album Where We Were Together, to the long-awaited new album from A Place to Bury Strangers, constructing mammoth walls of sound on Pinned, it’s a fully epic release week. It would be easy if that were the end of the story. The forthcoming Landing album, Bells in New Towns strikes all the right chords, both tuneful and emotive, and is a welcome addition to their storied canon. Lead single “Nod” is just the bold opening statement. New music from Amusement Parks on Fire, Molly, No Vacation, Our Girl, Why Bonnie, The Age of Colored Lizards, Terra Pines, Ten Million Lights, Sleeves, Noise is Everything, Jess Ledbetter, Ellie Meriz, Echo Ladies, Charcoal Skies, Bank Myna, Babe, plus some recent classics from Törzs, and Grave Pool for your consideration. Overstuffed for the weekend’s entertainment!
But that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh adds, including Blush Response, Winter, Bloody Knives, Heaven, New Candys, Andrew Younker, COSme, Angel Aura, Night Flowers, Modern Time Machines, Bound, Rich Girls, The Death Notes, Candélabre, Sexores, Bedchamber, Gizpel, Martes Niebla, West Coast Music Club, and Triptides. Fully packed with new.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
