You’d be late too, if you got as many new releases as we got today. We thought we had a wheelbarrow full by Wednesday of this week, but then today’s album releases from NIIGHTS, Piroshka, Star Horse, Strawberry Licor, Youngest of Elders , SPC ECO and Cellar Doors drove the programming department into overdrive. New sounds and new discoveries abound, and we’ve got them all for you: Lazy Pilgrims (pictured above) Spotlight Kid, Big Bite, CLNИ, Dres_, Sheer, Knifeplay, SPOOL, Grave Pool, Fiasco, Dreams of Empire, d.e.b.b.i.e., LEATHERS, Movie Brain, Old Soul Dies Young, Reverbcore, otom, Steeple Remove, Versing, undone, Sungaze, Movie Brain, sweetsoak and so much more. We had to make a lot of room for this week’s haul of new tunes, but we’ve stabilized and normalized at this late hour.
And all of that is in addition to last week’s fresh offerings, including Be Forest, Burr, Corasandel, Earache, Archetype, Spray Canela, ACRÍLICO, Sweet Sore, Lake Pleasant, Astronoid, Cosmic Waves, Dreams of Empire, FOAMMM, Cosmetic, True Sleeper, Rei Clone, a classic re-release from Smudge, and two epic Forever Shoegaze compilations from Japan, freshly released.
New Tracks Weekend is begun 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others.
