Culled hundreds of pitches and Bandcamp release notifications down to sixty crucial cuts for injection into New Tracks Weekend rotation, and we’re pretty keen on the lot. Headliners this weekend include NewDad (pictured above), whose long-awaited debut LP is an early contender for album of the year. We’re also celebrating Daysleepers’ offshoot project Sinking Gardens, maintaining the impressive songcraft Jeff Kandefer is known for. We’re also finally getting to spin up more of The Fauns new LP that’s getting so much love in the gazeiverse. But there’s even more headliners: Luster, cruush, Softcult, Broken Head, alex argot, Magnet School (it’s been too damn long), Newmoon, Slow Salvation, fuvk, Night Tapes, and Self Love Club. We’ll dig even deeper: Salvana, overly, Moonbear, Merle Blanc, Habitants, Echoing Twilight, Daytime Lover, blindlace, choice cuts from the new Leah Callahan LP, Strumień Świadomości, The Spy From Balzan, Swirlpool, Spiral XP and more. It’s a helluva lot, but we’ll get in all we can fit in the space of a weekend.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Wynona Bleach, Coming Up Roses, wasting, Glitterspitter, Kairo, kinoue64, Lesser Angels, The Asteroid No.4, Wisp, tired up, Buzhold, 9-volt velvet, Nylon Union, Moonwards, Bathe Alone, Abandon City, BADVRIL, Buddy Junior, Daniel Land, ARIMA, dead boyfriend, Fawning, Glaring Orchid, Head Sound, Japanese Heart Software, Hey Calamity, Lone Seagull, Mint Tea, Long Distances, Moon Cowboy, Lunavela, Oliver Beardmore, The Microdance, VENUS GRRLS, Yet To Invent, Vox Humana and more. More music than weekend, that’s for sure.

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Live365, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
