New Tracks Weekend

New Tracks Weekend, February 23-25

New and pre-release music from everywhere, plus a few recent releases we haven’t caught up to yet. We’re celebrating the return of Beach Vacation, last seen when we’d spun them in 2013, and have since seen on milk cartons around Washington state. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration. We catch up with Our Girl, formerly Soph Nathan (pictured above). Their “new” single is a rework of one of their early Soph Nathan tunes (and a rotation staple), plus they dropped a b-side that’s a sparkler in it’s own right! We celebrate the impending release of LA’s Moaning, on Sub Pop. Who knew this was coming? We’re deep into the new Cosmic Child album, now finally on Bandcamp. We’ve got Desario (also finally on Bandcamp, Nov. 2017 release), new music from Beach Bully, fuvk, Mint Field, Rei Clone, Schonwald, Tearjerker, Wylderness, the full release of Seventeen Years’ Blueberry LP, plus we catch up with Lost Horizons. Too much new.
And that’s all in addition to last weekend’s freshness, including Lowtide, Dead Vibrations, Blurred City Lights, Daydream Cathedral, Warm, Night Flowers, VLMV, The Voices, Prisms, Fun With Ether, Castlebeat, Nova Flares, June Pastel, Dramatic Pause, Candace, Great Black Night, Vyva Melinkolya, Foliage, Indoor Voices, Burning House, COSme, Panophonic, Burr, Cherry Coloured, Parrot Dream, Purple Heart Parade, and TBTCI Records’ tribute to Starflyer 59. All of the new things.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
