Some real powerhouse sounds packed in this weekend, and we’re here to celebrate all of it. New sounds from Draag, As Above, King Hit, thrilled, Sunstinger, Gloomhead, Snail Mail, WYYM (pictured above, this may be their swan song), and a premiere from The Blue Herons kick off, but are followed closely by fresh sonic sparkles from Callière, Wynona Bleach, Sparkler, The First Eloi, Virgins, Dreamcoaster, Levelor, Black Headed Gull, and les manteez. Each a headliner in their own right. And we’ve got a full weekend to spin and celebrate the achievements.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Nothing, trauma ray, Blackwater Holylight, mute swan, The Julies, sugar plant, Wildernesses, seko, RusT, deary, Neon Wire, narcolepsy, FUUN, Cashier, Darren Foley, Blanket,  awake eternally, Sunlit, Western Freeway, Biatlón with Mint Tea, The Giraffe Told Me In My Dream, Le Lendemain, Us and I, Elliot, Sungaze, The Cataract Pools, Minor Dents, Special Friend, Mayflower, Meraung and more. More music than time, but that just guarantees wall-to-wall new music discovery.

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
