Last weekend in January, and who expected a wheelbarrowful of new releases? We certainly didn’t. Over 70 new tunes, sorted and rotation weighted for your consideration this weekend, so let’s give a rundown, shall we? Headliners include Wynona Bleach, Coming Up Roses, wasting, Glitterspitter, Kairo, kinoue64, Lesser Angels, The Asteroid No.4, Wisp, and tired up. Plus we’ve got the advance and exclusive world premiere of the debut LP from Buzhold (pictured above), sort of a dreampop/grunge crossover that’s got us all excited in these studios. What It Meant is released on 12 February, and this Estonian crew has the skills to make a big spash. We’ll tease out some crucial cuts in advance of the album release next month.

But that’s just the frontline, there’s a much deeper bench available this weekend. We’ve got contributions from 9-volt velvet, Nylon Union, Moonwards, Bathe Alone, Abandon City, BADVRIL, Buddy Junior, Daniel Land, ARIMA, dead boyfriend, Fawning, Glaring Orchid, Head Sound, Japanese Heart Software, Hey Calamity, Lone Seagull, Mint Tea, Long Distances, Moon Cowboy, Lunavela, Oliver Beardmore, The Microdance, VENUS GRRLS, Yet To Invent, Vox Humana and more. Toldja, it’s a lot. We’ll fit new tracks into every second the weekend allows.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Secrets of the Third Planet, Bad Bloom, Flowerbomb, Sleep Keeper, My Sister Maura, Swimming Pool, Winter, Anilore, Swiss Portrait, shoplifting, Loom, Rainsong, Saline, The Blue Herons, With Glee, Meltway, Inframell0w, The Astral Fades, dottie, Fur Aliah, aeonatan, Creature in the Spiral, ARKA, Holy Ship, and Kid Tigrrr. We’ll do what we can to cram it all into one weekend.

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Live365, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
