Could legitimately call it “old tracks weekend”, as we’re additionally featuring some underheard early 90s classics from Malchicks (NZ) and Wash (Perth, AU)… but that might lessen the impact of the new tracks in New Tracks Weekend worthy of your appreciation. Headliners include Grivo (pictured above), Cloakroom and Lavender Blush, all three of which finally unlocked their long-awaited long-players, and there’s much to recommend from all three. But we’re also celebrating new sounds from Caroline Loveglow, Hater, Death Hags, tummyache, Georgia Harmer, Purplish, Craig Rich, Seaside, Beach Towels, Lital Hagayan, GRAE, Status Oblique, plus we poke at the edges of Just Like Heaven. So, it’s a lot. But worth every moment.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Basement Revolver, Dead Leaf Echo, Coming Up Roses, Hatchie, Secret Towns, Japanese Heart Software, Hollow Graves, SOM, Imandra Lake, Lammping, Arches, Francis of Delirium, Maggie Gently, and Oliver Beardmore. It’s a full sonic weekend with no gimmicks. Okay, very few gimmicks.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support.

Check the DKFM Gear Shop for great casualwear and accessories, and support DKFM at the same time. WIN/WIN!
