Fresh weekend, calendar turning on a new month, and we’ve got sixty-plus new tracks plugged into weekend rotation for your new music discovery consideration. Headliners this weekend include Whitelands, A Shoreline Dream, Softcult (pictured above), Beach Vacation, Yumi Zouma, Melting Palms, figure eight, All Sparks Burn Out, Meraung, Adios Cometa, WYYM, Curvesight, mint tea, and the new album from Heel, which sounds like the modern day reimagining of Isn’t Anything: raw, formative, experimental, but rich in tone, melody, and chops. But there’s so much more to be celebrated, including the return of Flying Nuns, plus Bridal Veil, Mascara, sunshot, Overlay, Eosine, Monoland, Old Coke, stay lunar, Charlotte Vazquez, Sekuel, To The Lumens and more. We’re more overbooked than usual, and we’re usually overbooked.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Draag, As Above, King Hit, thrilled, Sunstinger, Gloomhead, Snail Mail, WYYM, The Blue Herons, Callière, Wynona Bleach, Sparkler, The First Eloi, Virgins, Dreamcoaster, Levelor, Black Headed Gull, and les manteez. No matter when you tune in, you’re certain to hear something you’ve never heard before.

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
