First full weekend of 2022, and we’re lit. Our headliners are The Voices, whose we just want to be ourselves was deeply profiled earlier this week by staff wordsmith Marky Anderson. Our additional headliners (because there’s so much to be celebrated), Did You Die (pictured above) finally unveiled their Thirteen Moons release, and while some you know from early singles, there’s even more to be in thrall to. Also of critical note: new Audiobaton double single keeps the Dallas crew leveling up (even if the release somehow unleashed without any notification?)… it’s the sound of a band at their peak. And we dig into the latest releases from Robin Guthrie, Sheep’s Bed, Purplish, Moodlighting, Eternal Something, TRPP, Bradley Coomes, The New Modern Lights, Stomp Talk Modstone, Widowspeak, Skot Kremen, Whirling and Sun Era, Sinkers, Purplish, and we revisit a 2019 release that escaped our attention from They Are Gutting a Body of Water. Plus, we’ll sneak in a preview of next week’s single release from An Ocean of Embers, gods willing. It’s lit!

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Blood Pick Me, Zetra, Cloakroom, Fever Cult, Electra Complex, Loomer, Fun With Ether, KWIETA, Ovlov, Pole Star, Ether Feels, Syupeo Jenjang, The Blue Herons, Fourteen Nights at Sea, Nobody’s Flowers, Midas Reverse, KID TIGRR, Julia Shapiro, Megumi Acorda, Flu Flu, Wombo, Tears On Demand, Five Pebbles, Звёздная Грань, Margaritas Podridas, Fingers Cross, Jōetsu Shore, Fulanfehan, and a whole lot more. We’re here to keep your ears company. It’s our gift to you.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support.

Check the DKFM Gear Shop for great casualwear and accessories, and support DKFM at the same time. WIN/WIN!
