We might not have a metric ton of new tracks this weekend, but what we have is golden. From Russia’s Faience Knife to Fresno’s Valley Palace to Hong Kong’s much-loved Lucid Express (pictured above), we’ve got a rich and varied listening experience, ready to charm you at any hour of the day or night. We’re super keen on the new release from Detroit’s No Luck, so expect us to beat you about the ears with it (it’s wot we do, innit?), new LPs and EPs from Desperate Journalist, A Place To Bury Strangers, Superbloom and Tashaki Miyaki, as well as the new singles from The Blue Herons, Supertwin, The Boo Radleys (the return nobody expected!), Detects, FLDPN, Lyndsie Alguire, Cold Heaven, Zed Point, Luster Dust, STEREOSKOP, Tycho (with Ben Gibbard?), Nik Brinkman, Spirit and the Cosmic Heart, Ulrich Schnauss & Mark Peters, and Jesse D’Kora (premiered on our air yesterday: guitarist from Juliper Sky plants a jangle flag, and it’s glorious to behold). We’re ready to keep you company all weekend, breaking new artists first, at the cutting edge of the sound. (Editor’s Note: by the time we added everything up, we do indeed have a metric ton of new tracks.)

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Sunstinger, 93millionmilesfromthesun, gloomchurch, Wolf Alice, Old Moon, Starflyer 59, Wednesday, Syupeo Jenjang, Nightcrush, Lights That Change, Martes Niebla, Soft Blue Shimmer, Piroshka, mon cher, Kraus, Deafheaven, Lazy Eye, Slaney Bay, Cold Beat, Pluto Is A Planet, Kanashii, Glycerin, Fogbow, El Glum, Hayien, Day Aches, Frown Line, Devotions, bubble map, Cold Heaven, Bleached Cross, Abbreviations, Catatonic Suns, Emperor of Ice Cream and so much more. We are loaded down with sound for a weekend adventure, and thrilled to have you along.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support
