New music, standout tracks. We’re packed to the rafters with freshness, including a sneak peek from several upcoming releases. We’re geeked on the new single from Vet Trip, one of the bands headlining this year’s DreamGaze ATX Festival next weekend. We’re thrilled to have stumbled upon a new band, new song from Denton TX’s flowerbed. We’re teasing out tracks from three upcoming albums: Buffalo’s Orations release Receiver in two short weeks, and it feels classic already. The other two albums are Fuzz Club specials: Los Mundos (in OUR rotation since Day One) and The Janitors (new to us, mind-bendy psych with fuzz accents), both released next month. But there’s so much more, so so much. New music from Cartwheel, Darkswoon, Dead Swords, Mainlight, oh my muu & phoebe’s guitar, Movie Brain, Russian Baths, Saigon Blue Rain, Seasurfer, Stoop Kid, Secret Attraction, The Voices, whisperwind, The Laurels, Акульи Слёзы, Lovesick Yellow, OS NU, Anthony Green, Toy Savoy, plus we catch up with the collected output of the outstanding Whistler Post (pictured above). Expect some heavy rotation for this talented crew.

But that’s not all… Shady Bug continues to generate buzz on our air. Nothing’s new LP causes legitimate buzz. We’re still on Slowness, Rev Rev Rev,  Night School, Las Robertas, Castlebeat, The BV’s, Relay Tapes, Shaki Tavi, Poolshop, Kuta (see also: M83/Team Ghost), Tangients, Caoilfhionn Rose, Terry vs. Tori, Berlina, Elenin, Blume, Drowsy and much more! There simply aren’t enough hours in the weekend.

New Tracks Weekend is begun 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
