Much new, some exclusive, all songcraft in genre considered. It’s a full weekend of fresh tunes, including two epic tracks from Dublin shoegaze standouts Submotile (pictured above). Sonic Day Codas is unleashed on April 9, and it’s pound=for-pound likely to be one of the standout albums of 2021, surely to be considered in the top five for album of the year. It’s just that good. Attention to detail, songcraft, sonic sculpture, all the elements come together to elevate this work to top-tier status… and it’s not even out yet! We’ve got two key tracks, and we’re thrilled to assault your ears with excellence, in the runup to release day. We’ve also got exclusive access to the forthcoming single from Sunspire, whose new single “Wildflowers” drops on 21 March (debut album unlocks 23 May). We’re also pushing the new single from New Candys, and the first single of the forthcoming album from Lightning Bug. We’re long Mint Julep, Sloe Noon, Gaadge, Velvet Sunset, Bad Visuals, Swallow the Rat, Maida Rose, Clone, Magic Wands, Lovecraft in Tokyo, Genders, seabirth, Corvus and the Morning Star, The Pleasure Holes, No Suits in Miami, VVOLVES, Tearjerker, Rajada, Phantom Wave, Nightjacket, Oceans, Vallens, Мерцание and much more. It’s the soundtrack to your epic weekend.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Doused, Sparkshimmer, SOM, The Real Sea, Sunken, and Time Travel Ban, Nax, White Cold Desert, Waitress, Elenin, Vallens, The Devil and Her Chauffer, Terry vs. Tori, Telever, Meena, Tearjerker, Semihelix, Lapse, SCHONWALD, Los Kowalski, The Sugar Petals, Rose Brokenshire, Secret Flowers, Become The Sky, Faintlife, Bolywool, Remington super 60, Axolotes Mexicanos and much more.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
