New Tracks Weekend, March 2-4

All of the new music came out this week. All of it. Running gag in the DKFM Facebook group, everybody marked March 1 on calendar, and everybody of note released on the same day. And we’ve had to purge a great deal from the weekend rotation to make room for the sparkling additions from this week alone. Headliners: Topographies. If there’s any such thing as a “shoegaze supergroup”, this is it. Featuring some of the biggest luminaries in the Bay Area scene, and having just completed a command performance for MBV Night at Part Time Punks, they’re ready to headline San Francisco this week. We’ve got two stellar pre-release tracks to whet your appetite.
This week saw the release of TBTCI Records’ Lush tribute compilation, and it’s chock full of goodness. We’ll take a deep dive into the sonic gems Renato has compiled. Plus two featured artists from our upcoming DreamGaze ATX festival released new music this week: Bloody Knives, and Since Always. We’ll dance at the control board whenever they hit air. New singles from Kraus, Fawns of Love, Dayflower, All Sparks Burn Out, Nostalgist, Morning Myth, Dead Heart Bloom, The Churchill Garden, Living Hour, Middle Management, Sales, Ms. 45 (lead vox of Crimsonettes), Soccer Mommy, Mint Julep, Seaside, The Pink Elephants, Ten Million Lights, Rolemodel, Todavia, Winter, and Wussy. Plus the stellar new albums from Wild Meadows, Moaning, and Candace are lighting up our studios this week, we’ll show you (hear you?) why. We’re fully packed for a weekend sonic party.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s rotation adds for your consideration, including Beach Vacation, Our Girl, Cosmic Child, Desario, Beach Bully, fuvk, Mint Field, Rei Clone, Schonwald, Tearjerker, Wylderness, tSeventeen Years, Lost Horizons and much more.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
