DKFM The buzzing in your ears is completely natural.
Sixty-five new tracks, all batched and rotation weighted, bubbling up and ready to burst forth into your ears. Seemed we had a “normal” weekend planned, and then a raft of new releases this morning, plus preorders fully unleashed today, equals a big weekend with no time to spare. Headliners this weekend include Closedown, Mental Map, Distressor, Drop Nineteens (pictured above), Airline, Bored at My Grandma’s House, Ellis, Magazine Beach, New Age Healers, Purs, and Ride. That’s a solid front line. But our bench is so much deeper, with new sounds from The Voices, Waves Crashing, Callière, These Sleeping Hands, Kallai, Russian Baths, Smelter, The Astral Fades, Overlay, Luma Fade, lucidbloom, it used to be here, MOODY MOODY, Depth of Field, Cats Never Die, dehors, Yeule, Nava Calma, Miraglow, Dormer and more. As usual, it’ll be challenging to fit it all into one weekend.
And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Newmoon, Swirlpool, Softcult, always other, Hayien, Bad Light, Appi, Flashes, Maquillage, Q&TB, stillfilms, The Virginia Planes, Sun Mahshene, The Astral Fades, Valvo, With Glee, The First Eloi, Saturnalia, No Culture, Masal, Lurve, Honeywave, Libbianski, Glasswing Butterfly, Farewell Days, Collider, DAIISTAR, Across Your Life, bloococoon, Pink Milk, Bedroom Holiday, and Chloe. It’s a lot. We’ll do the best we can.
New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Live365, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
