New Tracks Weekend, March 6-8

If we’re late, it’s because we’re overbooked. Blissfully overbooked, with new music released right up to air time. Our headliners include Fever Blush (pictured above), who’ve just released their new album EARLY to those willing to preorder, with proceeds going to Nashville rebuilding and recovery. That’s an effort we can get behind. We’ve got a world premiere from Moscow’s COSme that we’re thrilled to share. Away Forward has unfurled the album Catching the Sun this week, and it’s engaging throughout. The newest release from Dallas’ Deep Red is causing a stir, and with good reason. The new album from Snarls, Burst has burst forth, and it’ll make you weak in the knees. And we’ve got advance on the LP from Crown of Pity, with sharp edges that’ll cut you if you’re not careful. You’ve been warned!

And that’s just the top line. We’re chuffed to roll out treats from Alcest, Chasms, Broken Up, Daniel Trainor-McKinnon (sandpaper for your soul, that), Dearly Somber, Elodie Pereira (with a subtle nod to Mazzy Star), MOANING, From Apes to Angels, Lightning Bug, Highland Kites, Good Wilson, Mango Safari, Laveda, Outward, My Proper Skin, pink paper planes, Revel, Slow Glows, Rosedal, Rilev, Sweetest, VIM, Twin Drugs, увула and so much more. We’re (finally) ready to entertain, all weekend.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including WYYM, Soccer Mommy, Tip Top Nap, Swallow The Rat, Muted Color, Fragile Animals, Ratboys, Why Bonnie, Pandelume, Seablite, Reverbage, Palm Ghosts, Miserable, Lacquer, Say Sue Me, Mumrunner, LAUNDER, Black Books, Animal Ghosts, Cuffed Up, Katya & Volki, Somewhere, Bathe Alone, Nevver, Sleep Overload, The Backlash, Fearing, Noizu, Secrets of the Third Planet, Zelma Stone and much more! We’re overpacked, and busting out all over.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
