Swimming the backstroke through a morass of technical issues and pandemic-related logistical challenges, we’re here for but one reason: bringing you the brightest and freshest new sounds within the realms of shoegaze and dream pop. So it is written, so let it be done. This weekend we’re loaded for bear, with a world premiere tune from Cigarettes for Breakfast (pictured above). “Home” is a woozy confection that blends all of the classic elements of sparkling shoegaze and dream pop that make it feel both familiar and refreshingly new. Available Tuesday via Bandcamp, it’s already a favorite in our studios.
