New Tracks Weekend

New Tracks Weekend, May 25-27

It should come as no surprise when we say we have more quality new music than we have time to spin. We’ll try to do it anyway. Proud to feature the new double single from Thud (pictured above), who have only grown and focused over time, producing some shimmering and tuneful songs that are sure to remain in heavy rotation around these studios. But we’re also well pleased with the new music from Hatchie (full EP finally released!), Suburban Living, and perennial all-stars A Shoreline Dream, whose Waitout  EP releases soon. New music from etti-etta, Barrie, Consejo, Brief Habits, Imperfect Tree (thanks to Paul and the mighty TSC for the heads-up on this amazing album), Jaguar Sun, Deaf, Movie Brain, Ms.45, Neonic Sundrive, Vicious Blossom, The Lost Jackets, Swirlpool (Camomile EP finally released in its entirety), and we reach back into the …three years ago, to charm you with an overlooked gem from Last Canyon, pointed out to us in our Facebook group. It’s new to us, so it’s likely new to most of you.
And that’s all in addition to last weekend’s fresh adds, including Swirlpool, Daze (TX), Crash Dept, Drop Like Stars, Silver Dapple, SHUN, if only there were angels, Pale Sun, Hundredth, Medio September, Spring Winds, The Smilies, The Terminal Voyeurs, The Us, Angel Falls, Them Are Us Too, Silver Dapple, Drop Like Stars, Hundredth, SHUN and more. So much freshness.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
