The Calm After the Storm…

Yes, we spun a new configuration of New Tracks Weekend last weekend, but given all the events of last weekend (Kalamashoegazer, Panda Riot/Brief Candles/Lightfoils, Slowdive), we didn’t properly promote the new material. Yes, you are all due a travelogue on last week’s epic midwestern swing by DKFM staff, but we’re holding off until the edited video evidence of our journey comes in. We say all that to say this: fresh tracks last weekend, fresher tracks this weekend. Here’s our star roster: Kindling, Cave Shine, Glaare, Heaters, Demur, Wind Along The Coast, Blush, Processions, Miners (formerly of Pala, now lost in some geography-deficient but reverb-laden locale), Vansire, Curelight Wounds (sneak preview, everyone!), Car Crash Sisters, Ghost Noise, Broken Little Sister, Cherry Coloured, Fragile Animals, Dim, Black Books, Silver Liz, Autumn (US) and a great deal more we’ve likely just forgotten to include. Woe is us, living on the edge like that.
Not to ignore the previous weekend’s new music, including Aerofall, Sadfields, The Medicine, Small Planets, The Luxembourg Signal, Slow Glows, My Proper Skin, mi andromeda, Winter, Pony Fringe, GYHT, Bur, Breaking Forms, and The Legendary House Cats. All weekend, packed in.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry: listeners can vote thumbs-up/thumbs-down on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
