Sparkling weekend planned, surely something to be thankful for. It begins with the new album release from Blankenberge (pictured above) that we’ve been shouting about for weeks now. It seems that there’s a slate of heavy-hitting albums to be unleashed in the last months of 2021, likely to be vying for Album of the Year, and Everything makes a strong case for the title here. We’re surprised and thrilled to be spinning up fresh sounds from Horsegirl (a heady smorgasbord of grunge and dream pop), Deserta, SPC ECO, Annie Hamilton, Sun June, Bridge Dog, CECILIA::EYES, The Blue Herons, Momma, Colatura, Lunarette, Dama Scout, Just Mustard, Echo of the Low Light, Fir Cone Children, Errunhurd and much more. Plus we catch up with a classic we’d missed from In Parallel, and we get you a sneak peek from the forthcoming Shun LP that’s sure to get your attention. We’ve covered the week’s releases like a fuzzy blanket!

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Lorelei, Tallies, The Florist, Knifeplay, dayflower, El Glum, Kate Bollinger, makthaverskan, Floating Room, DETECTS, Broken Head, HOO (featuring members of Slowdive and Black Hearted Brother, though not the same member), Desert Liminal, Parrot Dream, Mental Map, seventeen years, The Backlash, snarls, TRPP, Under The Sun, The Grey Merchant, Waves Crashing, Zetra, The Hynx, Why Bonnie, Zarathustar, Джуна, The Age of Colored Lizards, Cold Gawd, Karate Guns & Tanning, First Class & Coach, Cor De Lux and so much more. Your weekend is set!

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support.
