Life on Venus, captured live by Pablo Saitua, used with kind permission.

We have the fresh sounds. And we’re not afraid to shout about them. From our headliners, Life on Venus (pictured above), to new sonic swells from folks like Weathering, Lemondaze, Deserta, The Giraffe Told Me In My Dream, Moon Panda, password-password, Remington Super 60, Susil Sharma, L.A.Dies, Just Like Honey, Elodie Pereira, All Romantic Days, Day & Dream, Ancient Channels, The Black Watch, Crash Dept (sneak peek!), Angel Falls, Distant Creatures, Shïppa-63, The Know, Rosegaze, Infinite Sonic, Star Control and much more. If you don’t hear something to fall in love with, tell the Kardashians we tried.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh injections, including Iris, Medicine, and Tombstones In Their Eyes (out now on SomewhereCold), Lorelei, Chasms, Giant Surprise, JAMHED, Keep, Japan Review, Laveda, Jasper’s Mindmelt, Les Manteez, Magic Shoppe, MONAD, The Churchhill Garden, Novanta, Night Hikes and more. It’s a refreshing oasis of sound in these troubled times.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Gear up for the holidays: mugs, shirts, hats and more!
