It’s a Bandcamp Friday, AND multiple album contenders for AOTY all dropped today. That’s a bunch to juggle, innit? First and foremost, the Drop Nineteens reunion LP Hard Light unlocked today, and we’ve been singing its praises all week. That’s headline enough, but there are three contenders hot on heels: Crystal Canyon (pictured above) have been producing quality material for years now, but Stars and Distant Light shows them reaching another level entirely. Add to that the compelling new albums from Hotline TNT and We Melt Chocolate, and that’s a front line team that any month would be proud to feature, much less a single weekend. More headliners? Yes we have them. Mo Dotti, Crux of Faith, The Veldt, Futureheaven, Ian Sweet, Misty Coast, Rocket, THALA, Paraphernalia, a wicked impressive split from Momma and Narrow Head, YEAHRS, and Thermal are all ready for “hot rotation”. Backing up this front line? Stainwasher, The Year In Pictures, Violent Waves, Trophy Grief, Waves Crashing, TURANGALILA, Vyva Melinkolya, llawgne, Kosmavermo, lil dirtbag, Kitten Paws, Heals, Gasper, Fin del Mundo, Glassmanet, Entre las Nubes, Crash (classic reissue on Failsafe), Beat Rhythm Fashion, april june, TIFFY, The Manifesto, Adelaida, The Youth Play and so much more. So much it exceeds proper paragraph length. We’ll just see what we can fit into a weekend.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Newmoon, beach novels, Bright Arc, skeever, ENDLESS, skymender, Wings of Desire, Fawns of Love, Hazel English, Forest Circles, Strangers In My House, The Black Heart Death Cult, Wall Drugs, Three Quarter Skies, The Cataract Pools, Fauvely, Blue Cinema, Ariel Void and more. We’ll pile on the new sounds until told to switch the lights off.

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Live365, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
