Everything all at once. The newest releases from the most promising artists. We’ve packed in a weekend full of fresh sonic treats, including El Lago (pictured above), whose Pyramid EP looks to make waves in the 2019 calendar, and sharpens their already crisp and unique take on the sound. The long-awaited debut LP from Small Planets landed this morning, ably assisted by Josiah at Cave Studios LA, and it proves the promise we’ve been buzzing about for years. They’ll take a victory lap at their record release show Saturday at The Elinor in Long Beach, and should be a legitimate party. LUBEC surprised the nation with a fresh EP on Disposable America, and their unique blend of Sonic Youth noise and Scandanavian choruses are as joyous as ever. New Audiobaton and Basement Revolver EPs landed with a fanfare, as well as the new dreamy new Seascape LP from Czechoslovakia‘s Billow. Not content to stop there, we’re pushing the newest sounds from Shana Falana, The Cherry Wave, Spool, Pure Hex, Seasurfer, Mad Honey, Longingsky, Nax, Sketch Jets, Teen Blush, Simen Lyngroth, A Headless Horse, Routine Death, and SO much more.

And all of these are in addition to last weekend’s fresh injections, including LACING, Soot Sprite, Newmoon, Monocism,  Mellowtone, Dottie, Etherpool, Good Wilson, Wybercron, The Pink Elephants, Under Black Space, Sideshow, Poppel, Relay Tapes, OXY, Loomer, Overdriver, Great Black Night, L.A. Dies, Echo and the Machine, Moody Beach, Whimsical, and… now I’m out of breath. Suffice to say, no slack in this presentation.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
