DKFM The buzzing in your ears is completely natural.
Whirlwind week for new music, and we’re loaded up to entertain you all weekend long. Headliners include Slow Pulp (pictured above, photo illustration by DJ Heretic), whose Moveys album will have you feeling all the feels, all the time. We’re deep into the new LP from Hundredth, which has charms across the sonic spectrum. We’re teasing out key tracks from the Alexia Avina album Unearth, bubbling with dream pop charm. Deradoorian unleashed the album Find The Sun, which follows no strict convention, but touches on Julee Cruise, with engaging dream pop and psych textures. We’re keen on the newest releases from MILLY, Daydream Cathedral, Was A Wolf, Secrets of the Third Planet, Pillow Queens, Habitants, Draag, Macajey, Total Rubbish, Necromoon, Crux of Faith, Cruisers, Ian Sweet, Céus de Abril, The Mudd, happyvoid, atmos bloom (compelling from start to finish), Luce Cargo, The Foxfires and so much more. Loaded, packed, compressed into a weekend’s soundtrack for your soul.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including todavía, whose Orange Faint of Sky LP captures the spirit of the impressive early singles, and adds so many more colors to the sonic palette. But we’re still pushing so much more sonic spectacles, including Heavy Sigh, Nothing, Spunsugar, dottie, Whimsical, Black Moon Mother, jesu, HIGH/LOW, Dreams of Empire, STAR, Bound, Darksoft, Flavor Crystals, Blarescape, Rapt, Planet Loser, Wicketkeeper, Desperate Journalist, Silver Rose, Fotoform, dayflower, Phylos el Tibetano II, flowerbed, Dummy, Agent blå, Slow Planet, The Double Happiness, Diving Bells, The Ardors… the roster of impressive new music continues unabated. And we’re thrilled to share it.
New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
