Bandcamp Friday, and all chaos breaks out. 300 pitches and promo emails sorted through, 100-plus tracks sorted and rotation weighted, and we’re ready to go. It’s a lot, so let’s break it down. Headliners this weekend include Slowdive, whose new LP unlocked today, and seems to be all the entirely online set can talk about. And there’s nowt wrong with that. But there’s so much more to be celebrated! New (but old but new) music from The Veldt’s collaboration with Robin Guthrie unleashed today, and it’s a revelation. We’re also spinning up new sounds from Cashier, Day Aches, Call it Home, Dog Silent, Ceramic, Hattara, SCHELPER, Long Distances, Pencey Sloe & Sorcerer, Tannhauser Orchestra (premiere!), Sun Mahshene, Unkenny Valleys, Toothpaste, the neverminds, Wisp, Umbilical, and She’s In Parties (pictured above). We dropped the ball on She’s In Parties, but we’re determined to rectify the error. But that’s only the headliners this weekend, we’ve got so much more, and hope to pack it all in: new sounds from Guest Directors, Tomates en Verano, SOTVO, Teen Idle, The Year in Pictures, Mirror Of Haze with Violent Vickie, Hollow Street, jasper’s mindmelt, Human Colonies, Flora Lux Victoria, Herring, Caesar Of Cymatics, dayaway, Shojo, INOXIDABLES, blood pact, Start Together, Cold Equations, Soft Science, Helen Stellar, and Fuckleberry Hinn. PLUS, we’re boosting two freshly-released compilations for your consideration: Rave Down, featuring some top-notch shoegaze and dream pop talent, plus choice cuts from destroy//exist’s X Marks The Goth. We’re overbooked, some will get dropped, but we’ll do all we can to fit as much in as possible.

And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Film School, Manic Sheep, Sea Lemon, Fawn, Supergloom, Cement Lake, Slow Salvation, Orion Lake, Petal Head, TTSSFU, Velvet Sunset, Ten Million Lights, Vlimmer, Stomp Talk Modstone, Mini Trees, Lithia, Kira Sheppard, Everyone Asked About You, Death of Heather, Jean Andonne, 11:11, always other, Desert Beagles, RAINSTEAM&SPEED, Mayfield Park, the deluxe reissue of Love Spirals Downwards’ beloved 1998 album Flux, and a whole lot more. You ready?

New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Live365, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
