So much new music to recommend this weekend… two stellar new tracks from the forthcoming album, Fake It Flowers, by breakout artist Beabadoobee (pictured above) show that there’s not only room but demand for shoegaze/grunge/pop crossover, and this is the one you’ve waited for. We’re long on new releases from SPOOL, Gilah (formerly Inspiraling), Submotile, Floating Room, Shoe Shine Six, Prepare My Glider, Misty Coast, Lavender, Iress, Happy Alone, Graveyard Club, Slow Connection, The Fawns, Stomp Talk Modstone, Thala, Pet Dreams, Eyedress, Cold Bedrooms, Bat Eyes and more. Plus we revisit last year’s self-titled debut (and swan song) from Sprawwl. We’re packed I tell you, packed!

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Nothing, DoZzz, RUBUR, Bathe Alone, Death of Heather, Draag, Hyla, Pluto is a Planet, Bound, Ian Edwards, Errorr, Previous Love, CAPITOL, New Ghost, Spunsugar, The Luxembourg Signal, Toner, Slow Pulp, The Churchhill Garden, Darksoft, Barlow, Greg Puciato, Hundredth, Tombstones in Their Eyes, Waves Crashing, HIGH/LOW, Archie Sagers, and the wave-making new single from Total Rubbish. We’ve got the whole weekend covered.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

They’re new, they’re hot: DKFM face masks are available for a limited time here!
