What’s on deck for the weekend? So so much. Three albums qualify as headliners for the proceedings, so that qualifies as depth. Kicking off with Tapeworms (pictured above), whose Funtastic album lands somewhere between Stereolab and classic JAMC, with a rollercoaster’s worth of thrilling twists and turns. Sentimiento Mundial, the new LP from Mint Field is its own dizzying journey through sound and structure. And we finally get Aphantasia, the promised album from Philly’s Cigarettes for Breakfast, capitalizing on the buzz they earned here and elsewhere with their “Daylight” and “Home” singles. These folks do not slack, they do not repeat, they do not stutter; sit up and take note. But we’ve got so much more: new music from Jupiter Sprites (previewed here), Adiós Cometa, Draag, Telever, Winter Gardens, Death Cult Magazine, Radio Supernova, Daydream Cathedral, Modern Time Machines, Peachblood, ユノハナ, BLOOD PICK ME, Weathering, Lavender Blush, GRAZER, Mint Julep, Found Space, Dirty Sidewalks, Wood Lake, nebenschau, Iress, Soft Kill, Color Crush, Magic Shoppe, Angel Aura, Topographies, After Daylight and much more!

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Beabadoobee, SPOOL, Gilah, Submotile, Floating Room, Shoe Shine Six, Prepare My Glider, Misty Coast, Lavender, Happy Alone, Graveyard Club, Slow Connection, The Fawns, Stomp Talk Modstone, Thala, Pet Dreams, Eyedress, Cold Bedrooms, Bat Eyes, Sprawwl and more. More music than weekend, guaranteed.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

They’re new, they’re hot: DKFM face masks are available for a limited time here!
