The deadline draws near, and there’s so much new music to celebrate. And with so many bad takes on the collapse of Pitchfork as a going concern, we’ll do what we always do: focus on the music. We’re thrilled to spin up new sounds from Secrets of the Third Planet, Bad Bloom, Flowerbomb, Sleep Keeper, My Sister Maura (pictured above), Swimming Pool, Winter, Anilore, and Swiss Portrait (last year’s release, but we’re just catching up to it). But that’s just the frontline, our bench is that much deeper. We’re keen on the forthcoming release from shoplifting (sort of a shoegaze/breakbeat hybrid), Loom, Rainsong, Saline, The Blue Herons, With Glee, Meltway, Inframell0w, The Astral Fades, dottie, Fur Aliah, aeonatan, Creature in the Spiral, ARKA, Holy Ship, and the just-released update from Kid Tigrrr. And we’re here for all of it, or at least as much as we can cram into one weekend. Buckle up.
And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Ride, Sloe Noon, Whitelands, Torrey, swim school, World Smasher, softlightsymphony, 11:11, lil dirtbag, CASTLEBEAT, Glaring Orchid, flyingfish, Adele Dazeem, Cave Moss, Loupe, Mora Oracle, Oats, Stella, Winter Harbour, Still Ruins and more. More music than time to play it, but we’ll do our best.
New Tracks Weekend is begun at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others.
