When TWO of the most anticipated albums in genre this year are released on the same day, which is your headliner? Trick question, that, as both are. Blushing‘s new self-titled LP is unleashed today around the world, via multiple distribution partners, and it’s well worth the wait. And Tennis System’s new album, Lovesick, is unfurled in all its glory today on Graveface. If it seems like it’s been too damn long waiting for this one, surely the singles helped tide us over. And what a natural label fit, too. But there’s so much more. The new Rev Rev Rev LP Kykeon is due in two weeks, and we’ve got a sneak peek of the heavy heavy psychgaze monster sound. We’ve got full album injections from Cattle, Palm Haze, Silver Bars, Slow Glows and Once Grace Forever. We’ve got an album preview from Daydream Cathedral, plus new tunes from Fir Cone Children (featured here), The Stargazer Lilies, Linda Guilala, Tamaryn, Slowly, Falasies, BYSTS, Castlebeat, Day & Dream, dottie, Flashes, isn’t, Fleur Du Mal, Graywave, isn’t, Kodiak Galaxy, Lógica Estelar, Ohio Mark, Malish Kamu, Sleepwalk, The Cordial Sins, Mani Bazaar, thelakesidedrive, Slow Glows, Useless Cities, Todavia, Moon Loves Honey, Orchin, Moon Panda, Paragon Cause and more. Plus we revisit The Radio Department, who have just reissued their collected early EPs into one long-form presentation, and it serves to remind why you fell in love in the first place.

If it seems like we’re behind, we are. Kalamashoegazer (and Chicago) was a whirlwind trek filled with friends, fans, reverb and love. Our Renee Coutlee has assembled a visual document to commemorate the event, and we’ll have the galleries up on the site this weekend. But we’re all caught up (ish) now, and we’ll act like we know what we’re doing, starting… now.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
