Leave it to Friday mornings, when the bulk of epic new releases finally unleashes into our promo box. First among equals: Soft Blue Shimmer (pictured above), OWNING the category with “hot rotation” tracks that aren’t to be missed, and intent on cracking 2020 AOTY lists before we put a headstone on the musical year. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The new albums from FOG and Death of Heather are classics in the making, already having generated much buzz on our air. Not to be outshone, new music from GRAZER, Silvermash, Stacking Pennies, Craig Rich, West Coast Music Club, Mashmellow, Ghost Love, Chico Bestia, Minaxi, Pale Honey, Mira, Kali Ma and the Garland of Arms, Annie Truscott & Melina Duterte, The Double Happiness, Cathedral Bells, Annie Barker & Pieter Nooten, EST, Sulk, Fabels, Mount Murai, Sicayda, NewDad, Slowly, Topographies, Parlour Club, EWAH & The Vision of Paradise, and much more. Plus, we’re shouting about the double single from No Sun and Pale Shade we previewed here… it’s an achievement, and a thing of beauty.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Choux, Billow, Lavender Blush, High/Low, Soft Kill, Meadowlake, Flavor Crystals, applewhite, Foot, halçyon days, Ohio Mark, JEN, Daydream Deathray, Resplandor, Color of Light, PEEL, Tarda, Clustersun, The Ocean Boy, Planet Loser, Wildfires, Echo Upstairs, Blist Her, Sleep Overload, The Berries, Chipped Tooth, Manon meurt, and so much more. No sleep til Sunday night!

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

They’re new, they’re hot: DKFM face masks are available for a limited time here!
More merch options available in the DKFM Gear Shop, just in time for holiday shopping.
